Background and Discussion:
Precinct 3 conducted an income survey for the Patio Woods Subdivision to see if it would qualify as Low/Moderate income. Harris County staff and consultants conducted outreach activities to notify residents in the area and performed door-to-door paper surveys. The survey resulted in a 95.2% response rate exceeding the 80 percent minimum household response rate required. This community comprises 42 homes, with 37 households classified as Low/Moderate income. HCCSD has reviewed the comprehensive income survey results and agree that that the Patio Woods subdivision significantly surpasses the 51 percent minimum of low-to-moderate income individuals (95.88% LMI), meeting the criteria for designation as a low-to-moderate income area.
Upon the completion of these survey, a CDBG Survey Tabulation Form with the results needs certification by the chief elected official of the jurisdiction. Community Services Department (CSD) recommends certifying an income survey for the Patio Woods Subdivision in Crosby, Precinct 3, designating it as a low-to-moderate income area. It is strongly recommended that the Commissioners Court certify the income survey based on the obtained results.
