Background and Discussion:
Costs for court appointed attorney fees are far outpacing the FY23 appropriation for departments 701 - District Court Appointed Attorney fees and 941 - County Court Appointed Attorney fees. A background and explanation by subject matter experts will help Commissioners Court to better understand the trends Harris County is experiencing.
Expected Impact:
A background and explanation from subject matter experts in the District and County courts, as well as the Office of Managed Assigned Council is useful prior to approving any supplemental budget appropriations.
