This is a renewal of authority granted every year to the County Attorney’s office to seek temporary restraining orders and other emergency relief when an environmental emergency (such as an unpermitted release) threatens County communities and other means of addressing the issue have failed. Emergency authorization is required in the event there is no time to seek authority from Commissioners Court for a specific action.
