Background and Discussion:
Harris County Municipal Utility District 534 has applied for a permit to install nonstandard items within the Harris County ROW along Porter Road to serve the Elyson master planned community. The construction of the nonstandard items will not impact the surrounding community and will meet all Harris County infrastructure regulations and safety precautions.

Expected Impact:
HCMUD 534 prefers to provide residents with enhanced landscaping and frequent maintenance at subdivision entrances for consistency with other privately maintained locations

The alternative option for this proposal would be denial of this project which may cause a negative impact for surrounding communities.
