Background and Discussion:
This project aims to install a new storm sewer system underneath all roadway ditches in the neighborhood and restore ditch and pipe culverts along approximately seven thousand four hundred linear feet (7,400 LF). The project also intends to construct a detention facility on the southern end of the subdivision of approximately fifty thousand cubic yard (50,000 CY). The project includes completion of associated appurtenances.
This amendment reallocates $274,706 in CDBG-DR funds from the A/E Design line item to the Construction line item. The amendment also adds $8,950,803.71 in Leverage funds to adequately cover construction costs.
Expected Impact:
To Improve drainage and street to reduce existing and future flooding levels generally bound on the North by Sandydale Lane, West by Chrisman Road, South by Aldine Mail Road, and East by Aldine Westfield Road located in the Green Bayou watershed in Precinct 2. This project will serve 580 persons, of which 523 are low to moderate-income with drainage improvements. The fiscal impact to the County is anticipated to be $8,950,804 in Engineering Mobility Bond funds.
