Background and Discussion:

The project intends to complete site work and appurtenances in the Forest Bend neighborhood. The project site is located at 4300 Laura Leigh Dr. in Friendswood, Texas. The Project is bounded on the North by Ravine Dr., South by FM 528, West by Clear Creek, and East by Townes Rd., located in Precinct 2.

Additional CDBG-DR funds are being requested to cover bid costs that exceeded the amount allotted.

Expected Impact:

The expected impact of the project is to construct and maintain a new storm water detention pond on property owned by the Forest Bend Homeowners Association and benefiting surrounding homes by reducing potential flooding. This will benefit 2,895 people in Friendswood, Texas, with drainage improvements.

The fiscal impact to the County is anticipated to be $320,000 in CDBG-DR funds.
