Background and Discussion:

The County engaged Midtown Engineers, LLC in 2022, and now seeks them to conduct the study and design of a standard four (4) lane concrete boulevard. The goal of studying and designing W. Rayford Road is to expand the existing 2-lane half-boulevard roadway to a 4-lane concrete full boulevard and improve mobility in the area. The firm is registered with the Harris County Engineering Department Professional Services Registry.

Expected Impact: The project will address current and future traffic volumes, reduce delays, and provide safe mobility for residents, pedestrians and drivers.

Alternative Options: If no action is taken, the project may experience delays in improving mobility in the area.
