Background and Discussion:
This lawsuit was filed by Plaintiff Naana Kessey, who is seeking personal injury damages resulting from a motor vehicle accident caused by a Harris County District Attorney’s Office employee. Subject to the approval of Commissioners Court, the parties have agreed to settle this lawsuit by payment of $27,500.00 to The Amaro Law Firm on behalf of the Plaintiff, Naana Kessey. We believe that it would be in the best interest of Harris County to settle this claim for this amount. If the Court believes that this claim should be settled, a release from the Plaintiff and a motion for non-suit with prejudice will be secured for Harris County. An order authorizing the settlement of this lawsuit is attached for use by the Court if it decides it would be in the best interest of Harris County to settle this claim.
