Background and Discussion:

This contract change is to add a new pay item for geogrid matting to the project. The geogrid matting is required in order to complete the all-weather access road for the Katy Hockley mitigation bank. Without this new pay item, the project cannot be completed. Pay item quantities that are not needed for current or upcoming work have been deducted to offset the additional cost of this new scope of work.

 

Expected Impact:

This RCA is required in order to complete the HCFCD construction contract under original or needed revised scope.

 

Alternative Options:

This is an active construction contract. There are no viable alternatives except for closing the current contract and bidding the items. This would substantially delay completion of the work and is not recommended.
