Background and Discussion:

 

Project includes road improvements at Greenhouse Road from Cypress North Houston Road to Cypress Creek Bridge for Harris County Precinct 3.


Change includes time for resolution of a utility conflict between an existing junction box and AT&T cable with the proposed concrete pavement:

                     TIME DUE TO JUNCTION BOX AND AT&T CABLE WAS IN CONFLICT WITH CONCRETE PAVEMNT ($0.00) - 27 DAYS

 

Change also includes cost and time for additional traffic control signage for the full roadway closure of Lavender Meadow Way:

                     COST AND TIME FOR ADDITIONAL SIGNAGE THAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE FULL CLOSURE AT LAVENDER MEADOWS WAY ($3,649.64) - 2 DAYS

 

Expected Impact:

 

Change allows the contractor to complete the job without penalty caused by an unforeseen utility conflict and allows the contractor to be compensated for additional signage required for the full closure at Lavender Meadow Way.

 

Alternative Options:

 

Elimate the scope of full closure of Lavender Meadow Way and close that entrance partially while constructing the pavment in front of that entrance half at the time.
