Background and Discussion:
Design and construction of sidewalk. This will enhance pedestrian mobility and safety. Precinct 3 is partnering with Hilshire Village for this effort.
Expected Impact: Designing and construction the missing part of this sidewalk will improve the pedestrian mobility and transportation and the safety of the constituents that live in this area.
Alternative Options:
To extend the existing sidewalk located at Westview Drive to I-10 along the west side of Wirt Road will benefit the City of Hilshire Village community. The recommendation to construct this sidewalk will improve overall operations and better facilitate pedestrian activities. Not partnering with City of Hilshire in this project will impact the pedestrian safety of this community.
