Background and Discussion:
This grant provides reimbursement for a portion of the cost of a Sheriff’s Office Investigator assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The purpose of the ICAC Task Force is to investigate and prosecute persons engaged in internet crimes against children.
Expected Impact:
The grant will allow the Sheriff’s Office to continue its participation on the ICAC Task Force, thereby protecting children from internet predators.
Alternative Options:
Not accepting this agreement would reduce the resources devoted to stopping child exploitation.
