Background and Discussion:

This award comes in response to the submission of a grant application, authorized by Harris County’s Commissioner’s Court on 08/23/22, on behalf of Harris County Public Health for the purpose of improving HCPH’s ability to carry out the foundational public health capabilities, develop & sustain the workforce, and modernize internal data infrastructure with the overall goal of improving public health needs within Harris County.

 

Expected Impact:

Acceptance and utilization of the following grant funding will aid Harris County Public Health in addressing and alleviating urgent and continuous public health needs through workforce and infrastructure investments. It will allow the organization the financial support necessary to improve the health and well being of Harris County Residents by maintaining current and creating new positions, providing professional development opportunities, investing in community-based organizations, and enhancing internal data infrastructure.
