Background and Discussion:
Grant funds will reside in an escrow account authorized in a separate court action. Construction for this project is already underway with a construction contract approved by Commissioners Court on August 5, 2022, for RES Gulf Coast, LLC dba LECON, Inc. in the amount of $22,548,469 This project has also received grant funding assistance from the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) providing up to $8,900,000 for construction of the basin. Of the remaining $13,648,469, $1,364,846 will be covered by the TWDB FIF grant and $12,283,623 will be funded using Flood Resilience Trust. The TWDB grant is calculated as 10% of the local costs and will help to offset funding already allocated by the HCFCD.

The proposed P500-06-00-E006 Lauder Stormwater Detention Basin Project will further improve riverine flood risk in Greens Bayou. Period of Performance for the grant is from execution of the Grant Agreement until successful completion of the project and final accounting.
