Background and Discussion:
An interlocal agreement was requested to assist in the preparation of an engineering Design Concept Report for the major transportation corridor to provide the necessary information in order to plan for further utilization of the roadway to facilitate current and future traffic and infrastructure. The document is required by the City of Houston to provide for the Mobility and Planning Process.
Expected Impact:
This study will allow for the incorporation of current infrastructure design along with policies and programs that will provide for community input while meeting future transportation needs.
Alternative Options:
Postponing the study would lengthen the process to provide improvments along the corridor and stymie economic progress of the surrounding areas.
