Background and Discussion:
This project will construct approximately 11,000 linear feet of 10' wide asphalt trail in two segments, one roadway undercrossing, and one pedestrian bridge as part of a planned trail network. This is part of a multi-phase project that will connect into an existing 3.5 mile trail system. In addition to this proposed 11,000 feet extension to the west the Precinct is independently creating another 6,000 LF of trail to the east. This will connect Kickerillo Mischer Preserve as well as the 100 acre wood parks to the trail system. Trailside amenities will include benches and garbage cans.

Expected Impact:
The two new trail segments will provide accessible outdoor recreation opportunities to over 3600 homes in the area, encouraging residents to explore the outdoors and enjoy the multiple benefits of outdoor activity.

Alternative Options:
The project could be fully funded with local funds.
