Request by the Office of County Administration for an Executive Session for discussion and possible approval to appoint Patrick Mandapaka and alternate Susan Fraser, nominees from the County Judge, to the Houston-Galveston Area Council's Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) for a term ending December 31, 2023.

Background and Discussion:
The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) reviews and evaluates H-GAC's regional transportation plans and provides its recommendations to the Transportation Policy Council (TPC). The TAC is an appointed body, which is comprised of representatives of member governments and special citizen interest groups with expertise in transportation planning. Harris County is responsible for appointing a representative and an alternate to the TAC (formerly the “Technical Advisory Committee”) for a year-long term that ends in December.
Expected Impact:
This appointment will ensure the continuity of Harris County’s representation on the regional Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), through a key transportation policy advisory body, the Transportation Advisory Council.
