Background and Discussion:
The County engaged BGE, Inc. in 2014, and now seeks BGE, Inc., to facilitate the redesign of a standard four (4) lane concrete boulevard in 100-foot ROW with a 32-foot raised median and underground storm sewer system for the updated limits from 250' south of Rolling Glen Lane to 700' north of Ezekiel Road. The redesign will incorporate the modification of roadside ditches to underground storm sewer with the option of shallow swales behind the curb. At the intersections of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road at Old Hufsmith-Kohrville Road/Lacy Road and Hufsmith-Kohrville Road at Ezekiel Road, design an upgraded signal to a mast arm and the related pedestrian appurtenances. The redesign is to include a 5-foot-wide sidewalk along the east and west ROW from Old Hufsmith-Kohrville Rd/Lacy Road to the northern project limit. The sidewalk will tie into the proposed 10-foot-wide trail around the north detention basin. The southern detention basin outfalls into the Hufsmith-Kohrville Road Segment 1 storm sewer system and basin.
