Background and Discussion:

The Hike and Bike Trail is to provide recreational opportunities for the public, including approximately 10,100 LF of 10’ Concrete Shared Use Path from Red Bluff Rd to SH146 and approx. 5,500LF of 5' sidewalk from SH 146 to Sylvan Beach Park.

Expected Impact:

The facility improvements will foster fitness and provide neighbors with access to greenspace. The project will address park and neighborhood pedestrian and bicycle connectivity.

Alternative Options:

Alternate options include choosing not to study and design this project by this consultant or having the design performed by in-house design staff or on-call engineering firm. If no action is taken, bicyclists and pedestrians will have less accessibility through the community.

Alignment with Goal(s):

_ Justice and Safety

_ Economic Opportunity

_ Housing

_ Public Health

x Transportation

_ Flooding

_ Environment

_ Governance and Customer Service
