Background and Discussion:

The Hike and Bike Trail is to provide recreational opportunities for the public and shared utilization of the existing Flood Control Basin and channel, including approximately 3,650 LF of 10' wide hike and bike trail along P138-01-00/01 from Lauder Rd Basin to Ladbroke Ln.

Expected Impact:

The facility improvements will foster fitness and provide neighbors with access to greenspace. The project will address park and neighborhood pedestrian and bicycle connectivity.

Alternative Options:

Alternate options include choosing not to study and design this project by this consultant or having the design performed by in-house design staff or on-call engineering firm. If no action is taken, bicyclists and pedestrians will have less accessibility through the community.

_ Justice and Safety

_ Economic Opportunity

_ Housing

_ Public Health
