Background and Discussion: The County engaged Huitt-Zollars, Inc. in 2020, and now seeks Huitt-Zollars, Inc., to facilitate the re-design of an 8’ wide concrete shared-use pedestiann/bike trail along Rogers Gully (G103-24-04).  The re-design revisions to project limits and alignment include removing from the scope: sidewalk from Pine Cup Drive to W Lake Houston Parkway (WLHP) that curves around Pine Forest Elementary; sidewalk from WLHP across from Pine Cup Drive to channel G103-24-00, only spot-fix areas that are non-ADA compliant, if they exist; sidewalk improvements across G103-24, existing sidewalk to remain; sidewalk from east of FM 1960 (TxDOT tie-in) to east of Farmingham Road; sidewalk improvements from Rogers Gully along north side of Farmingham Road, existing sidewalk to remain; sidewalk on south side of Farmingham Road from Rogers Gully to Walden Forest Drive, except small section from Chip Shot Street to the existing crosswalk near the field; east side WLHP sidewalk from FM 1960 to Tournament Trails Drive; and sidewalk along north side WLHP along G103-24-00.  Huitt-Zollars, Inc. is qualified to perform these professional services. The firm is registered with the Harris County Engineering Department Professional Services Registry.

Expected Impact: The project will provide safe mobility for pedestrians and bicyclists.
