Request for approval of a Research and Data Use Agreement with the Police Foundation, dba National Policing Institute (NPI), for the department to partner with NPI in a crime reduction collaborative study.

Background and Discussion:
On September 15, 2020 HCSO entered into agreement with University of Cincinnati to participate in the Place Network Investigations (PNI) violence reduction initiative. PNI is a strategy focused on micro-hotspot locations to achieve long-term violence reduction. Recently, the PNI research team transitioned from the University of Cincinnati to the National Policing Institute. HCSO wishes to continue to participate in this initiative.
