Background and Discussion:

BMD agreed with the Triad Executive Directors that TRIAD services are core components to be funded within each department’s budget.  Commissioner’s Court authorized the dissolution of Triad department code 842 on 07/6/21.  The Triad (HC144888) intra-local agreement between HC Juvenile Probation and The Harris Center was transferred to an intra-local agreement between HC Resources for Children and Adults and The Harris Center by the HC Juvenile Board on 08/25/21.  Harris County Purchasing received Commissioner’s Court approval to renew this assumed intra-local agreement for the short Fiscal Year 2023 on 03/22/2022.  Harris County Resources for Children and Adults is requesting execution of a new intra-local agreement to replace the assumed one previously authorized by the Juvenile Board between Juvenile Probation and The Harris Center.

Expected Impact:

Continue to provide outpatient therapy services to at-risk youth and their families to divert them from the juvenile justice and child welfare systems.

Alternative Options:

At-risk families with limited resources would have few options to access these services in the community.

Alignment with Goal(s):

_ Justice and Safety

_ Economic Opportunity

_ Housing

X Public Health

_ Transportation

_ Flooding

_ Environment

_ Governance and Customer Service
