Background and Discussion:
Unforeseen site conditions due to the additional erosion requiring additional rock and additional pipe and headwall/wingwalls has resulted in plan changes. Modifications to the design details to provide inlets with grating covers and extended channel lining has also resulted in plan changes. This requires an adjustment to plan quantities and addition of a new pay item. There is no net increase in the cost to the overall contract. No time extension is being requested.
Expected Impact:
This RCA is required to complete the District construction contract under original or needed revised scope.
Alternative Options:
This is an active construction contract, so there are not many alternatives to approving a change order other than cancelling the contract which is not recommended as doing so would substantially delay the remaining work in the construction contract.
