Background and Discussion:

This change in contract is needed for two added interceptor structures to help improve drainage of the road ditch along the north and east boundaries of the Rev. Lawson Basin at Adair Park. The change also adds a pay item for culverts for the trail connectors to cross the existing road ditches. 3 days will be added for the added scope, and 23 days added due to Inclement Weather for a total of 26 days added to the contract.

Expected Impact:

This RCA is required to complete the District construction contract under original or needed revised scope.

Alternative Options:

This is an active construction contract, so there are not many alternatives to approving a change order other than cancelling the contract which is not recommended as doing so would substantially delay the remaining work in the construction contract.
