Background and Discussion:

 

Project includes the reconstruction of Kowis Street from Halls Bayou Hike and Bike Trail to James Driver Inclusive Park.  The original plans called for the bore pit to be located within the pipeline easement. The bore pit was extended 16 feet on either side of the corridor while jacking and boring the RCP under the pipelines.

 

Expected Impact:

 

The contractor was able to complete their underground RCP in the corridor with zero incident and the pipeline companies were pleased with the adjusted locations as well.

 

Alternative Options:

 

Install the bore pit as per plans and risk being shut down by the pipeline companies due to encroachment violations.
