Background and Discussion:

On March 8, 2022, Commissioners Court approved an interlocal agreement between Harris County and the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD for the CCHP-Harris Center at Dennis Street project. The project provides residential services to 24 eligible individuals experiencing homelessness assisted through CCHP in order to transition to accessible permanent housing options. Rehabilitation services include mental health screenings and treatment, Social Security Disability application assistance, substance abuse treatment, employment services, transportation services, and comprehensive case management. The term is being extended to allow for all funds obligated to the project to be expended.

Expected Impact:

There will be no additional fiscal impact to the County with this amendment; the total project allocation remains $1,716,012 in PY2020 CDBG CV1 and CV3 funds.
