Background and Discussion:

The County entered into an Agreement for professional engineering services with Landev Engineers, Inc (Currently RG Miller Inc) to provide improvements to Nabors Parkway from HWY 249 to Holderrieth on June 26, 2018.

The scope of the Agreement would allow Harris County to design and construct the removal and replacement of the City of Tomball’s gas pipeline from its current location to outside of the limits of pavement but within the proposed roadway ROW.

Expected Impact:

The Project will address current and future traffic volumes, reduce delays, provide connectivity, improve safety for motorists, improve roadway conditions, and reduce potential flooding with drainage improvements.

Alternative Options:

The alternative option would be to not move the gas line and not construct the roadway improvements.

Alignment with Goal(s):

_ Justice and Safety

_ Economic Opportunity

_ Housing

_ Public Health

X Transportation

_ Flooding

_ Environment

_ Governance and Customer Service
