Background and Discussion:
This project is in NW Harris County, classified as a major thoroughfare with high volumes of traffic. A significant number of accidents have been reported for portions of this corridor.
Expected Impact:
The intent of this study of the Holzwarth Road corridor is to evaluate traffic conditions along this corridor between Cypresswood Drive to Spring Cypress Road and provide alternatives to increase safety and improve traffic conditions. This will include proposing improvements to multiple intersections along the corridor.
Alternative Options:
The alternative is to not conduct this corridor study, and consequently not move forward with any design projects eventually proposed by the study, and leave the roadway and intersections as-is with safety issues.
