Background and Discussion:

Project included the reconstruction of a runway and parking lot at the Tom Bass Park 2 - Model Air Plane Park. It included milling and overlaying asphalt, new striping, and lighting along the driveway leading up to the parking lot.   Change includes reconciliation of actual quantities used in construction with the estimated quantities included for bidding purposes (major items hot-mix asphalt and concrete slotted curb).  Change also includes a new item for asphalt base repair to accommodate repairs needed to the existing roadway prior to overlay.

Expected Impact:

Change will allow the contractor to be paid in accordance with actual quantities used during construction and for the new scope of work (base repairs) need to the existing roadway.

Alternative Options:

Maintain the original scope of the project without adding the base repairs.
