Background and Discussion:

Unforeseen site conditions, added scope of work, time delays by other agencies and inclement weather delay days were encountered leading to extension of several existing pay items, addition of new pay items and extension of time. This requires an adjustment to plan quantities due to these conditions and plan revisions. There is no net increase in cost to the overall contract. A total of 99 days is being recommended.

Expected Impact:

This RCA is required to complete the District construction contract under original or needed revised scope.

Alternative Options:

This is an active construction contract, so there are not many alternatives to approving a change order other than cancelling the contract which is not recommended as doing so would substantially delay the remaining work in the construction contract.
