Background and Discussion:
This interlocal agreement allows the Harris County Flood Control District to participate in funding for the design and construction of three stormwater detention basins along Brays Bayou to reduce the risk of flooding to Harris County residents. Project One will include the demolition, design, and construction of the stormwater detention facility that would mitigate storm sewer drainage improvements to the Southland neighborhood. Project Two will include the design and construction of the stormwater basin to mitigate proposed storm sewer drainage improvements in the Westbury neighborhood. Project Three will include the design and construction of the stormwater basin to mitigate storm sewer drainage improvements in the Sharpstown neighborhood.
Expected Impact:
The completion of these projects will provide drainage improvements by reducing future flood damages to Harris County residents along Brays Bayou Watershed.
