Background and Discussion:
On August 18, 2022, Commissioner's court approved an order to increase the county's bond authority, subject to voters' approval on November 8, 2022. Court has indicated a desire to have a wide-ranging public information program for voters and stakeholders. This program will include public meetings throughout the County.

Although County buildings are expected to be used for most of the planned public meetings, broad geographic coverage and convenience to our constituents may be enhanced by using churches, schools, private assembly halls or other facilities owned by other parties. This Court action will authorize expedited drafting and execution of Facilities Use Agreements when appropriate.

Expected Impact:
A variety of venues for hosting the public meetings are anticipated. For those venues that are not County-owned, a short agreement may be requested by the host organization to confirm host and County responsibilities. In some cases, a host may also request reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses for building services or access control.
