Background and Discussion:

On January 5, 2021, Commissioners Court accepted the Less-Lethal Launchers FY 2021 grant award in the amount of $125,000 with no cash match requirement and a grant end date of September 30, 2021. On January 25, 2022, Commissioners Court accepted the amendment to the Less-Lethal Launchers FY 2021 grant to extend the grant end date to May 31, 2022 due to the vendor experiencing supply chain delays.  Due to continued supply chain delays, this extension to July 31, 2022 is necessary.

Expected Impact:

This grant amendment for the Less-Lethal Launchers FY 2021 project extends the grant end date from May 31, 2022 to July 31, 2022. This no cost extension will allow additional time to receive the launchers since the vendor is experiencing supply chain delays.

Alternative Options:

This grant extension is necessary to allow time to receive all of the equipment.
