Background and Discussion:
Huffmeister Road is a four lane divided concrete roadway with a curb and gutter cross-section. Huffmeister Road intersects State Highway 6 and the intersection is signalized with left turn lanes on both sides of Huffmeister Road. The existing intersection experiences significant stacking during morning and evening peak hours.
Expected Impact:
The project will address traffic volumes and improve the overall safety of the intersection.
Alternative Options:
The alternative is to leave the intersection as-is and continue to cause traffic congestion to the general public.
