Background and Discussion:
The CSD Single Family New Construction Program in partnership with HCED is developing 5 different
acreage tracts which include affordable homes designated to serve families with a Low-to-Moderate
Income (LMI). R.G. Miller Engineers and Edminster, Hinshaw, Russ & Associates, Inc. d/b/a EHRA Engineering had been procured to provide Architectural & Engineering Services for the development. A third
renewal of the existing architectural and engineering services to study and design the construction
of residential developments is being requested.
Expected Impact:
This will allow the single-family new construction program to obtain professional architectural and
engineering services to study and design the construction of residential developments for Harris County
and approval from the General Land Office to provide funding for the project.
Alternative Options:
Without professional architectural and engineering services to perform the study and design the
construction of residential developments the General Land Office will not approve funding for this project
and could potentially end all the project.
