Request for approval to decree that the Harris County Flood Control District project serve a public purpose and public necessity requires that the Harris County Real Property Division be directed to acquire three fee simple tracts for the public project known as Little Cypress Creek Sub-Regional Frontier Program, for the purpose of channel improvements and stormwater detention, authorizing eminent domain if necessary. Background and Discussion:
This project includes right-of-way acquisition within the Little Cypress Creek Watershed for project support and continuance of the Little Cypress Creek Frontier Program. Subject parcels for acquisition are between Telge Road and Kluge Road within L100-00-00-E001 project limits.
Expected Impact:
Acquisition of these parcels will allow for the future expansion of Little Cypress Creek to enhance the storm event resiliency of the area.
