Background and Discussion:
The Contract Change extends the current contract time by 30 days for inclement weather, reviewed from January 16, 2022, to May 15, 2022. This also includes additional quantities associated with the adjustment of a placed interceptor structure CMP from the provided elevation to the correct elevation. Also included are the extensions of multiple interceptor structure CMPs from the provided locations to the correct locations. Both adjustments are due to errors in the plans which were discovered in the field.
Expected Impact:
This RCA is required to complete the District construction contract under original or needed revised scope.
Alternative Options:
This is an active construction contract, so there are not many alternatives to approving a change order other than cancelling the contract which is not recommended as doing so would substantially delay the remaining work in the construction contract.
