Background and Discussion:

The Harris County Water Control & Improvement District No. 109 constructed drainage improvements to Green Springs Drive and Pinewood Springs Drive in the Greenwood Forest Subdivision and it constructed a detention pond on its property to mitigate impacts from excess storm water flows, thereby reducing storm water flow to the District’s channel, Unit P152-00-00, during extreme rain events.

Expected Impact:

The project was designed to reduce flood risks in the Greenwood Forest Subdivision, and these improvements will also reduce storm water flow into the District’s channel P152-00-00 during extreme rain events, thereby reducing flood risks in the Greens Bayou watershed.
