Background and Discussion:
Under the authority of the Harris County Juvenile Board, the Education Services Division provides educational programs for expelled students, delinquent youth placed in county operated juvenile facilities, and students on probation who want an alternative to the traditional high school campus. The Juvenile Probation Department is solely responsible for all programs within the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program and Excel Academy Charter School.

Expected Impact:
These funds allow the department to continue providing educational services to expelled juveniles, juveniles placed in county operated juvenile facilities, and juveniles on probation wanting an alternative to a traditional high school campus into the 2022-2023 year.
