Background and Discussion:

This tract, which is located in the Aldine Place subdivision, is part of the Project Recovery Post Disaster Relocation and Buyout (PDRB) Program which is a mandatory buyout program designed to reduce the risk of future flooding and increase the safety of residents and businesses in areas that have experienced repetitive flooding.

 

Expected Impact:

Harris County’s future flood resilience and the safety of our residents and first responders depends upon returning repetitively flooded areas to green space.

 

Alternative Options:

If the financial authorization to purchase the property is not approved, we will proceed to a special commissioners hearing.
