Background and Discussion:
Consultant is the On-Call Professional Services provider for the Countywide Emergency Outfall Repairs and Replacement program. Due to increase in number of emergency repairs requested and professional services needed therein, additional funding is needed to maintain level of service to the clients and PCTs across the increased number of projects.
Expected Impact:
We’ll be able to maintain the current level of emergency repair and related professional services, until the contract renews. Caveat that a major weather event may cause an influx of additional projects.
Alternative Options:
Updated the existing contract terms with this amendment to add the MWDBE goals and delay services until finalized. Anticipate a 2 month process. Authorize to Negotiate for a new contract with MWDBE goals included at the start. Anticipate a 6 month process
