Background and Discussion:
The Storm Sewer Outfall Repairs - Countywide (Z100-00-00-X332) contract is a one-year term contract with four additional annual optional renewals, that will be utilized to make repairs to outfalls of all pipe diameters including manholes and inlets. This contract is being rebid to replace the current countywide storm sewer outfall repairs term contract that the contractor declined to renew. The contractor’s reason for not renewing the contract was cited as being related to regional hyper-inflation of construction materials.
Expected Impact:
The intent of this contract is to provide a means for conducting priority storm sewer outfall repair projects across all District service areas in Harris County, Texas. Project work orders will be issued to this contract as they are identified and conveyed for execution.
Alternative Options:
Alternative Options include waiting to collect a group of repairs for each individual precinct and then put out individual contracts. However, this method delays the response time which allows deficiencies to enlarge.

_ Justice and Safety
_ Economic Opportunity
_ Housing
