Background and Discussion:

The purpose of this amendment is to continue the implementation, management, property acquisition, and support effort with the Little Cypress Creek Frontier Program from L100-00-00-E003 using bond funds.

Expected Impact:

This project seeks to reduce flood risks and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by alleviating property and structural damages to the adjacent community. The objective is to make sure the channel and tributaries function at their design capacity. This will reduce the financial, physical, and emotional burden flood damages place on homeowners. It will also reduce the financial impact of recovery costs to Harris County and federal flood insurance program.

Alternative Options:

The alternative to this agreement being approved is that we will need to seek another consultant for the work to be performed, which will cause significant interruption and delays in this bond project.
