Background and Discussion:
This project is located within the John Paul Landing Park in Precinct 3. The park includes fish stocked lakes with safe and passive recreational areas. The scope of this project is to further develop the park to provide a 90 acre flood detention basin which is hydraulically connected to the existing man-made lake and Langham Creek. The North Basin Cell detention basin will provide approximately 650 acre-feet of detention volume.
Expected Impact:
The purpose of the project is to provide the required flood control volume and provides an opportunity for some natural and man-made amenities such as habitat creation, recreational trails, and educational opportunities to the community.
