Background and Discussion:

The purpose of this grant program it to provide funding for veterinary medical equipment to be used in the treatment of owned or adoptable companion pets. VPH intends to utilize the potential grant funding to purchase equipment for the shelter, clinic, and mobile spay/neuter unit to improve the quality of care provided to animals.  Equipment to be purchased includes dental equipment, pulse oximeters, infusion pumps, surgical instruments, and other specialized equipment.

Expected Impact:

The procurement of dental equipment, pulse oximeters, infusion pumps, surgical instruments, and other specialized equipment will ensure the humane and safe treatment of animals in our care, reduce wait time for critical services, and ease the financial burden to the Harris County community seeking these services.
