Background and Discussion:

Harris County engaged GC Engineering Inc. to study and design the project in 2015, and now seeks GC Engineering, Inc. to assist with additional design services.

The goal of improving Telge Road 2 is to achieve a level of service to meet current and future traffic volumes, reduce delays, and reduce structural flooding of adjacent residences businesses, and schools.

GC Engineering, Inc. is uniquely qualified to perform these professional services as GC Engineering is the engineer of record for the project.

Expected Impact:

Reconstructing this road will improve pavement conditions and enhance drainage capacity, thereby improving mobility and safety for all road users and flood resiliency for all adjacent properties.

Alternative Options:

Alternative options include choosing not to reconstruct Telge Road and the accompanying improved drainage system. Another alternative would be to not perform the additional design effort which would need to be addressed later during construction, resulting in a higher cost to the County
