Background and Discussion:
The Housing and Urban Development Grant (HUD) Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes (OLHCHH) and the Community Services Department (CSD) Program's primary objective is the development of viable urban communities by providing the following, principally for persons of low and moderate income: lead-safe and healthy housing; a suitable living environment; and expanded economic opportunities. The funds can be used for qualifying activities including acquisition, construction, and social services.
