Background and Discussion:
The LESO Texas 1033 Program is a free program that allows Law Enforcement Departments to apply and receive US Government surplus items for free. The only cost for the Department is the cost to retrieve the item(s) from the military base where they are currently stored.
Expected Impact:
The impact of this program will benefit the Department as well as the citizens of Harris County. The equipment we can get with this program will help out during high water rescues and any disasters that may happen within Harris County.
