Background and Discussion:
CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC facilities within the Castlewood Subdivision need to be abandoned and removed prior to start of construction work in Project ID P500-06-00-E006 Lauder Stormwater Detention Basin Phase 2, Compartment 1 project. Construction for Project ID P500-06-00-E006 is scheduled to bid in January 2022 and start construction in April 2022.
Expected Impact:
Due to the nature of the work, CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC requires that their crew abandon and remove utilities from the project site. Once the power poles and cables are removed from the project site, the selected contractor can start clearing and grubbing of the project. Project ID P500-06-00-E006 will be constructed successfully and will improve the flooding issue in the area.

There are no viable alternatives to this item being requested. This utility conflict must be resolved to successfully construct Project ID P500-06-00-E006 and improve the flooding issue in the area.
